The State Government says construction of 95 new homes in Bega should get underway started in 2028.
The old TAFE site on Barrack Street is set to become a mix of private, social and affordable housing lots with space for single dwellings, duplexes and seniors’ housing.
The next 18 months will be spent subsiding the land and obtaining development t application approval.

Housing Minister Rose Jackson said the project is unlocking surplus government land that can be repurposed to create more housing supply for more people, including seniors, families, key workers and those on the social housing waitlist.
