A new modern Merimbula Boardwalk is one step closer to reality
The Regional Planning Panel has just approved the application put forward by Bega Valley Shire Council two years ago.
Mayor Russell Fitzpatrick said it’s good news for locals…and visitors to the area.

“It’s great that we can now move on. We’ve got the approval so now we can get the scope of works together so we can get it out to tender and find out the full costings, what it will cost us and we’ll go from there,” he said.
“Hopefully we’ll issue a tender in the near future and work start later in the year,”
The Mayor said the boardwalk is one of the most popular attractions across the shire.
