A dirty tricks campaign has failed in Eden-Monaro according to returning MP Kristy McBain.
Kristy McBain has woken up this morning to another three years as the local MP in Eden-Monaro following the Federal Election on Saturday.
McBain said this campaign was different to her previous two.
86% of votes had been counted as of last night with the Labor member so far collecting 43.24% of the first preference votes.
On a two-party preferred basis, this gives her 58.69% of the votes.
Liberal Party candidate Jo van der Plaat trails by over 10,000 votes.
The Green’s Emma Goward has collected just under 10% of the votes and Richard Graham from One Nation 6.8%.
