His lawyer, Lisa Stone requested Magistrate Doug Dick consider his significant mental health challenges and cognitive impairment when deciding his sentence.

“Obviously, the offences were impulsive and consistent with his cognitive impairments,” she told the court.

Magistrate Dick imposed a 9 month intensive corrections on the condition he move in with his mum in another part of the state and not consume any alcohol or drugs.

“”You don’t belong in jail, but you don’t belong in the community either if you keep committing offences,” he told Wiggins.

“You’ve got to stay out of the bottle shops. No more drinking, no drugs,” he said.
