A man has been jailed for 14 months after fronting court on his fifth, sixth and seventh drink driving offences.
62-year-old Andrew Hammond pleaded guilty to range of driving offences including driving while suspended from previous offences.
His lawyer, Samantha Henry asked the court for a Community or Intensive Corrections Order to which the Magistrate Brian van Zuylen replied he’s looking at jail.

“There is no other alternative to a full term of imprisonment. There has to be a prison sentence,” he said.
He’ll be eligible for parole in eight months.
