A man has not applied for bail after his arrest following an alleged police pursuit in the Batemans Bay CBD.
Nec-Angel Gorman is accused of making a run for it after smashing a stolen car into three other vehicles at the Orient Street Beach Road intersection on Monday afternoon.
He was chased on foot before being apprehended near the courthouse.
The 28-year-old has been charged with two counts steal motor vehicle, three counts destroy or damage property, police pursuit – not stop – drive recklessly, and dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception.
The Bail Review Court was told yesterday Gorman had to be taken to hospital for a toe injury after legging it from police.
He’ll face court again next week.
