A man arrested over the alleged killing of Bega man Gordon Kessey has told a court he was at home at the time the incident occurred.
48-year-old Serkan Hosoglu fronted Parramatta Bail Court via videolink yesterday after his arrested by Strike Force Nakstone detectives.
His application for bail rejected by Magistrate Rosheehan O’Meagher. He’s been remanded in custody until his next court appearance in January.
Hosoglu is the fifth person to be charged in connection to the alleged stabbing death on East Street on October 6.
29-year-old Kody Lloyd, 32-year-old Dion Lloyd 34-year-old Benjamin Robinson and 19-year-old Latisha Mundy were arrested in simultaneous raids last Thursday at Bega and Bemboka.
All are charged with murder and wounding with intent to murder. Dion Lloyd and Mundy also face an additional charge of possession of a firearm.
All four were formally refused bail in court last Friday.
