Tributes are being posted online for a Moruya High School educator killed in the Nepal Floods.

The family of keen hiker Michael Keats has confirmed his tragic death overnight….the first confirmed Aussie death in the horrendous disaster.

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to support his partner Emily and stepson.

Emily is in the process of arranging for them to travel to India for a memorial service.

“For everyone who knew him and loved him. May our sweet beloved Michael live on in our hearts and minds.

“A true blessing you were, we live in the light of your grace. Michael was tragically taken from us in the devastating floods in Nepal.

“My son and I are now navigating an unimaginable loss, while also facing the financial reality of rebuilding our lives without him.

“We’ve been invited to India for a sacred yoga ritual to honour Michael and support his transition, and we’re raising funds to help make this journey possible, as well as support us through this difficult time.

“Every donation and share means more than I can put into words.”

A co-worker at the school has described Michael on Instagram as the most beautiful soul with a unique and special aura.

$20,000 has been raised in the first 12 hours with a $40,000 target set.
