Bega MP Michael Holland has hit out at a decision by Eurobodalla Shire Council to campaign against the closure of the Batemans Bay Hospital Emergency Department.
Councillors recently voted unanimously to support a Mayoral Minute from Matt Hatcher to lobby the State Government to reverse the decision.
Dr Holland said the move goes against all the advice he’s provided them on the issue.

He’s organised a briefing for councillors nrxt week where NSW Health officials will outline the reasons why the closure must occur.
Dr Holland said any suggestions the State Government will backflip on the issue are wrong.
