Jury expected to retire in trial over local car crash death

A Moruya woman is closer to learning if she’ll be found guilty over the death of a man in a multi vehicle crash at Bimbimbie.

47-year-old Michelle Anne Zutt is charged in connection to the death of 23-year-old Jakob Peck including negligent driving occasioning death..

The crash occurred on Princes Highway where it intersects with Old Mossy Point Road in July 2023.

So far, the trial has run for five days before a jury in Bega District Court. A judge will continue summing up this morning before the jury retires to consider its verdict.
