The Rural Fire Service said the forecast fire danger rating will move into HIGH on the Far South Coast tomorrow.
Local firefighters are on heightened alert ahead of the dangerous conditions amid the current Heatwave Warning.
RFS Far South Coast District Manager Chris Anderson said recent wet weather doesn’t change the outlook.

“We’re going to see some high temperatures and the winds pushing through as well, which will dry things out,” Mr Anderson said.
“We’ve just got to be mindful that things are going to dry out again. We really want people not to forget about the bushfire season,” he said.
