Foot and mouth vaccine for Far South Coast livestock now available…just in case

Far South Coast primary producers are set to be given access to a world first foot and mouth disease vaccine if an outbreak ever occurs.

The vaccine developed by a biotechnology company, the industry and NSW Government.

Foot and mouth is a highly infectious viral disease that affects cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs.

Only yesterday we reported concerns by local cattle producers about the possibility of US beef imports introducing the disease here.
