Early success for a Far South Coast performer after putting out a new album.
Turn Up The Radio from Batemans Bay’s Brendan McMahon’s was only released a fortnight ago and the first single Outback Ball has already made it to Number Four on the Aussie Country Chart.
He’s set to play his first live show in the town at Starfish Deli this weekend after relocating to the Bay three months ago.
“Country plus I think that’s what I would call it. Most of my stuff sort of sits around the country area but because I’ve listened to so much music over the years I tend to stray a little bit so there’ll be country rock, folk, there’ll be contemporary and blues,” he said.
It’s a mixed bag. There’s something for everyone on the album I think.”
