Far South Coast bushfire season comes to an end

The bushfire season has come to an end overnight.

The Far South Coast luckily escape any major disasters since the season commenced at the start of October last year.

The biggest issue we experienced was the Brassknocker Fire north west of Cobargo that was eventually put out by rain.

We’re being warned the end of the official bushfire season doesn’t mean the threat has completely gone.

RFS Far South Coast Acting District Manager Chris Anderson said there’s been exceptional growth of fuel across the region.
