Electrical business owner given dressing down for pleading not guilty

A judge has questioned a Long Beach electrician with drug issues why he pled not guilty intimidation and breaching an AVO when the evidence against him was clear.

Shannon Stokes was convicted of both offences after a hearing in Batemans Bay Local Court.

The 50-year-old owner of Bay Coast Electrical was charged after an incident on February 16.

The Bay Post reports Judge Michael Love told Stokes by insisting on going to hearing, he had made a serious impact on the victim, which showed little contrition or remorse.

He was sentenced to a two-year Community Corrections Order.
