Bega Valley Shire Council has rejected our exclusive report that Transport for NSW has made a new offer to fast track construction of a new Cuttagee Bridge on the Tathra Bermagui Road..
We reported that State Government officials met with Bega Valley Shire Council on Tuesday where they offered to provide a Project Manager to them, revisit the design and reassess how much funding they could provide to get the delayed job moving.
But in a written statement…the Council’s Infrastructure Director Andrew Latta said there has been no offer made and that they are continuing as usual to work on the project.
A spokesperson for Roads Minister Jenny Aitchison has confirmed the offer was made to the council verbally during the meeting with a written agreement to be sent to them in the next few days.
