A young Eden man has been told by doctors he’s unlikely to ever walk again after being seriously injured in a fatal car crash last weekend.
20-year-old Angus Kennelly was driving on the Princes Highway at Boydtown last Saturday night when he hit a kangaroo and rolled his Toyota Landcruiser down an embankment.
The crash tragically claimed the life of his teenage sister who was a backseat passenger.
Angus has undergone spinal surgery at Sydney’s Prince of Wales Hospital and remains in intensive care.
A message from the family states “He can move his arms, although he isn’t able to grip at the moment.”
Family and friends have been travelling up there to visit and offer their love and support.
“Despite everything Angus has been through, he is staying incredibly positive. He’s been in high spirits with everyone around him.”
A GoFundMe campaign has raised $30,000 so far in recent days.
