More charges have been laid against one of the six people accused of killing Bega man Gordon Kessey.
The 45-year-old died after allegedly being assaulted in a park on East Street last October. A second man was also rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
The matter against all six returned to Bega Local Court yesterday where it was revealed Dion Lloyd had now been charged with two counts each of assault and choking a person with the intent to commit an indictable offence.
This is on top of murder and wounding with intent to murder he and his five co-accused Kody Lloyd, Latisha Mundy, Benjamin Robinson, Serkan Hosoglu and Tehata Hapuku are charged with.
The court has heard the assault and choking offences allegedly relate to one of his co-accused.
The six are yet to enter pleas. The brief of evidence is still to be served by police with a deadline set for later this month.
The case will return to court on April 14.
