We are seeking a pool of qualified plumbers, builders or development compliance officers to assist on a casual basis with inspection programs for Plumbing, Swimming Pool Barriers, Solid Fuel Heater installations, Moveable Dwellings, Building Information Certificates, including critical stage inspections and Fire Safety. Casuals will be rostered on an as needs basis and may have a background or accreditation in one or more of these compliance activities. Casuals will be based from the Moruya administration office. The starting salary for this position is $55.96 per hour plus 12% superannuation. Skills Required
You are a capable and community‑focused compliance professional with demonstrated experience in local government regulatory activities. You bring strong working knowledge of the Plumbing and Drainage Act and Regulations, the NCC and AS 3500, and communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally to a wide range of stakeholders. With highly developed interpersonal skills, the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team, and strong computer literacy across Microsoft Office and GIS systems, you deliver accurate, timely and practical compliance outcomes. Ideally, but not essential, you hold A4 accreditation (or equivalent), along with a current plumbing and draining licence. Experience applying advanced plumbing and drainage standards across water supply, stormwater, rainwater reuse and hydraulic fire services is also desirable.
