Community Bushfire Training
Community Respond to fire training is coming to Bombala and Eden. Book your spot and GET READY.
Thanks to the expertise of Mick Holton and Barry Aitchison of Lat n’ Long (Aus), the day will include preparing for the fire season, the basics of bushfire behaviour and control, and how to respond if fire affects your location this year.
These events are supported by NSW Reconstruction Authority, Forestry Corporation, Rural Fire Service, National Parks and Wildlife, Eden Community Access Centre.
Participants will receive a mix of handouts including fire blankets or extinguishers, goggles, basic protective wear, and printed information.
Forestry Corporation of NSW has generously offered one of their contract initial attack helicopters for an aircraft awareness briefing by the Pilot.
Respond to Fire accreditation may be available for interested participants.
