Once Upon A Costume: Kids Theatre Workshop

This one-day workshop invites children to come dressed in their favourite costume (real or imagined) and work together to create an original play from scratch. Guided by a facilitator, children will explore the basics of theatre-making through games, movement and collaborative storytelling. Using costumes as a starting point for imagination, together we will invent characters, build a shared story, and decide how it will unfold on stage.

If you don’t have a costume, you can still take part – some costumes will be provided by the facilitator on the day. If you have a spare costume or a prop that you’re happy to share, feel free to bring it along.

The workshop culminates in a short, informal performance for family and friends.

Please note places are limited. Bookings are required. If you cannot attend please let us know so that we can make your place available to someone on the waiting list. 

 Morning tea provided, 20 min.

 BYO lunch or kids can head out for lunch with their guardian – 30min.

For ages – 6 to 12
