Bega Valley Rally
On the June long weekend, the Sapphire Coast Sporting Car Club will be running the annual Bega Valley Rally, the rally has been running for more than 50years, and is the second oldest rally event in Australia.
This year it is round 2 of the AMSAG Southern Cross Rally Series, and a round of the Ed Mulligan Cup (a trans-Tasman series) and will attract some of the fastest rally cars in the country, as well as plenty of classic rally cars (think of Datsun’s and Escort’s, the fun cars we all grew up with)
The event will be run over shire roads around Bega on Saturday morning/afternoon, before moving to Eden for the remainder of the event.
Spectating is free, and we encourage everyone to come and see the cars up close in the service parks at Bega Saleyards on Saturday morning, the at Boydtown Beach Holiday Park, just south of Eden on Saturday afternoon/night and on Sunday.
You can also see the cars going through the forest at the designated spectator areas on both Saturday and Sunday, and there is also no cost for this.
