This poetry workshop will be held at SECCA in Bega, next to the Bega Library.
Ekphrasis is a literary form, most often associated with poetry, that responds to a work of visual art. In this 2.5-hour workshop, participants will explore its history, from its emergence in Ancient Greece through to experimental interpretations in contemporary poetics.
While grounded in an understanding of ekphrasis as a literary tradition, the workshop invites participants to push beyond fixed definitions of the form, making space for experimentation.
