A little bit about the group

The Bega & District Historical Machinery Club encompasses a variety of members as well as the different types equipment including tractors, trucks, stationery motors and cars of all vintage makes and models.
The majority of our members are retirees both male and female who are actively involved in restoration of their own machinery as well as assisting other members, maintaining the club’s shed and rebuilding “the big engine” which is an ongoing project.
Our members regularly take their equipment to other club’s historical shows where they exchange ideas and build friendships.
The Bega & District Historical Machinery Club will be hosting an inaugural vintage vehicle and machinery rally day on 7th October 2023 to which there will be many other clubs from NSW and Victoria in attendance. Participants will arrive on the Friday afternoon and many won’t depart till Sunday morning.
There are significant costs associated with conducting this event such as the hiring cost of the Bega showground, 2EC will be in attendance broadcasting from the location however that comes at a significant cost to a voluntary not for profit group.
This event will also provide a financial boost to Bega and the area particularly in the accommodation and hospitality businesses.
