A Far South Coast man has woken up in jail this morning after being arrested for alleged child grooming by Strikeforce Trawler police.
Sex Crimes Squad detectives have charged the 68-year-old with use a carriage service to groom under 16 and incite sexual intercourse with child under 10 years.
While he was arrested in Moruya yesterday, a property at Congo was raided where police seized a number of items.
He’s been refused bail to front the online Bail Review Court later today.
Strike Force Trawler is an ongoing investigation by State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU) into the sexual abuse and exploitation of children facilitated through the internet and related telecommunications devices.
