Today, iHeart dropped a brand-new original video podcast called (OVER)SHARE, and to be fair it just be the group chat you always wanted but never knew how to start. Hosted by journalist and content creator Phoebe Burgess alongside Below Deck star Hannah Ferrier, the series dives into the questions women often keep to themselves once life gets complicated.
Navigating Life After the “Announcement Era”
So, for a decade now social media feeds have been filled with an endless parade of milestones: engagements, weddings, babies, and career moves. But what happens when the dust settles, or worse, when life completely goes off script?
Phoebe Burgess describes this phase as a kind of limbo. “You suddenly realise you are in the life, in the family and in the career you’ve been manifesting, and most likely posting, for a lifetime,” she explains. “It’s also a time our biggest life bombs can suddenly go off. Threatening the future you thought was yours.”
Whether you are dealing with an identity crisis, a career pivot, a non-existent sex life, or just a highly judgemental parent at school drop-off, (OVER)SHARE is here to sift through the rubble and figure out what comes next.
Saying the Quiet Parts Out Loud
Hannah Ferrier is no stranger to public scrutiny, and she is bringing her trademark unfiltered honesty to the microphone.
“Phoebe and I have both lived enough life to know that nobody really has it all figured out,” Ferrier shares. “(OVER)SHARE is about having the conversations we’re already having with our friends but saying the quiet parts out loud. We’ll talk about the good, the bad, the messy and the downright ridiculous.”
ARN’s Chief Content Director, Kerri Elstub, noted that the pair bring a rare combination of lived experience and warmth to the studio. “This series tackles important topics with authenticity, humour and heart, creating a space where listeners can feel seen, understood and connected,” she says.
What to Expect from Season One
The podcast kicks off with two episodes that tackle the hosts’ own public images head-on. Phoebe and Hannah start by confronting the most Googled search terms and media headlines about their own names. By examining what is true, what is false, and what simply got left out, they ask a big question: how much of the person you see in the media is the real deal?
Future episodes will take on heavy-hitting but highly relatable questions like: Who am I if I’m not someone’s wife? and Can you leave a life that looks fine from the outside?
The series also features a highly interactive segment called “I’ll Share If You Share.” Listeners can send in anonymous stories, voice notes, and dilemmas to help steer the conversation each week.
