Eden Netball Association has called off tonight’s Round Three games out of respect to a 14-year-old girl killed in a crash south of the town on Saturday night.

The teenager was a car seat passenger in a Toyota Landcruiser that crashed down into an embankment after hitting a kangaroo on the Princes Highway at the intersection with Yarran Road at Boydtown.

The road was closed for over seven hours in both directions to allow crash scene investigators to examine the scene.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, is listed in a serious condition at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, after initially being airlifted to The Canberra Hospital.

A 22-year-old woman was taken to South East Regional Hospital in a stable condition while a 19-year-old man did not require any medical treatment.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established for the driver, identified on the page as Angus Kennelly. A fundraising target of $14,000 has been set by organiser Marion Mason.
