Several charges have been withdrawn against a man accused of helping set fire to the Batemans Bay KFC loading dock to “tie up” police before stealing a cash rewards machine from the Catalina Club.
Batemans Bay Local Court has heard charges of damaging property, aggravated breaking and entering, knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime and hindering police will no longer proceed against Joshua Hicks.
He’s pleaded not guilty to destroying or damaging property and aggravated breaking and entering in company to steal.

He’ll reappear in court on September 23 for a trial date to be set in Bega District Court.
