Guest speaker will be Penny  Beaver an Associate Research Fellow at Deakin University Victoria, based in the Bega Valley. Penny specialises seabird ecology, her current work uses GPS tracking to understand the movement patterns of Australian pelicans and Great cormorants and their reliance on human food sources such as fish cleaning tables at boat ramps with the aim of reducing marine entanglement risks through evidence-based conservation strategies.
