Narooma are looking at advancing their game style this year in the AFL Sapphire Coast Senior Men’s Competition.
The Lions have around 40 players training for positions in the Men’s senior teams ahead of the start of the AFL Sapphire Coast Competition next month.
Head coach Jamie Robinson said he’s very happy with the attitude and effort has been terrific at the club during the pre-season.
“We’ve had a large number that have trained, which is good, and we’ve got a lot of youth, and we’ve got a few experienced guys back,” he said.
“We’ve had 40 train and different ages and different levels. As far as the attitude and the effort, it’s been terrific and I think we’re going to look okay.”

Jamie said there were things last year that allowed them to get scored against too easily that need to improve.
“We developed our skills pretty well last year but there’s things within our structure that allowed us to get scored against too easily on occasions when we weren’t right,” he said.
“So we just tinker with our game style and try and play at a, at a higher level, a higher intensity and share the ball a bit more. Just grow our game and we’ll just see how that that transpires.
“We won’t get it right in round one but if we just have that attitude and we continue to improve, I think we’ll give a reasonable account of ourselves should we make the finals.”
