Guseli finishes 10th in final at the Winter Olympics

A crash landing has robbed Valentino Guseli’s chance at a medal in the BIG AIR competition at the Winter Olympics over in Italy.

The 20-year-old from Dalmeny finished the final in 10th position despite only being called in with several hours notice after another competitor was injured in practise.

Val was going for it in his third and final jump in yesterday morning’s final but crashed and landed on his backside to miss out on a medal.

There’ll be three Aussies from the Far South Coast up at the Games this week.

Valentino in the HALF PIPE, Pambula’s Cooper Woods in the Freestyle Skiing Men’s Moguls and former Tathra nipper Josie Baff the women’s and mixed teams snowboard cross events.
