Kristy McBain has led tributes to one of her predecessors who has passed away at the age of 91.
Jim Snow was the Labor Federal Member for Eden-Monaro between 1983 and 1996.
Kristy said he was a very popular and well-respected community advocate who earned the respect of people from all sides of politics.

During his time in Canberra, the former pharmacist was an advocate for drug law reform including the provision of heroin, cocaine and amphetamines on prescription.
He also proposed getting rid of state governments in favour of bigger local councils.
