A rescue with a difference on the weekend for local SES volunteers from Batemans Bay.
The volunteer members called on by police and WIRES to rescue two kangaroos.
The marsupials were trapped in a big hole around 2.5 metres deep, unable to escape on their own.

The specialist rescue operators forced to haul equipment over 200 metres through thick bushland to reach the skippies.
They were sedated before being lifted to safety and released.
