A warning for the Far South Coast from Fire and Rescue NSW about the potentially deadly consequences of heating your home this Winter.
The frontline emergency service typically responds to 11 more home fires at this time of year when the temperature plummets.
Superintendent Adam Dewbury said extra care should be taken when trying to stay warm.

“Working smoke alarms save lives,” he said.
Superintendent Adam Dewbury said there’s already been several lives lost this Winter including one at Denhams Beach last week.
The cause of that fire is still being investigated.
