The Bega Group’s share price has dropped by around 50 cents a share since reaching a near 12-month high of $5.94 early last month.
The fall comes amidst a manoeuvre by the company to try and buy a slice of it’s Kiwi rival cheese maker Fonterra.
Fonterra contains the Mainland Cheese and Western Star butter labels.

Bega has reportedly sounded out the A-TRIPLE-C about regulatory approval to launch it’s sale bid.
The company recently announced a $50-million upgrade within their Bega cheese processing and packing plant as part of a consolidation of operations.
