PETA's bbq dog stunt has people barking mad

Scared dog

Temperatures and emotions will be running hot at Sydney's Pitt St Mall tomorrow if animal rights group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) continues with plans to barbecue a dog in front of thousands of shoppers.

PETA plan to use a fake canine as a prop in the bbq stunt to push their message that eating dogs is no different than eating lamb, cows or chicken, and in turn make people consider the option of going vegan.

Some people are getting hot under the collar saying it's horrible, while others are backing the protestors. Either way, there's not enough tomato sauce and mustard in the world to get us to eat that hot dog! Bleeuuch!
