The annual Moruya Town to Surf Fun Run is on again, Sunday 8th September.
The 8km event was in danger of cancellation last year due to some significant cost increases but with the support of Southern Phone and the local community, the event is ready to roll again for 2019.

President of Moruya Surf Life Saving Club, Michael Pheeney said it was a lucky break for the community event.
"The Moruya Town to Surf Fun Run is the surf club's major annual fundraiser. It is a big event for us and something we enjoy putting on for the community. With the support of a near record number of runners in 2018 and the support of our sponsors we are able to continue this fabulous event," Pheeney explained.

The finish at the Moruya surf club will be a fun family event with live music, BBQ, coffee van, giveaways, massage tent and and new for this year, every finisher will receive a medal.

"We hope that our past participants will get their entries in and grab a friend or family member to run with them too. Eight kilometres is a good challenge but realistic for anyone who wants to run or walk the scenic course from Riverside Park to the Moruya Surf Club," said Pheeney.

The Moruya Town to Surf Fun Run is on Sunday September 8. Start is at 9am.
The event is open to all ages with junior entry just $30, and adults $40.
