A number of fires are burning near the the Tinderry, Calabash, Anembo and Jerangle areas. These have started as a result of the Clear Range fire. These fires are more than 880 hectares in size and are out of control.

Current Situation

  • A number of spot fires have started to the east of Colinton and west of the Strike a Light Nature Reserve as a result of the Orroral Valley bush fire in the ACT.
  • The fire is spreading in an easterly and north easterly direction under strong south westerly winds.
  • These conditions are causing increased fire activity and are making it challenging for firefighters to slow the spread of fire.
  • Low visibility due to smoke is making it difficult for aircraft.
