Asthmatics and people with respiratory illnesses are being warned to take care as the dust particles may not settle until later today.

Meanwhile a severe weather warning for damaging winds remains in place for parts of the South Coast. Wind gusts are meant to get stronger over the day.
Senior meteorologist Gabrielle Woodhouse says the dust storm has been widespread.
