"Great save given the conditions" grass-fire in Bega Valley now under control

The Rural Fire Service and NSW Fire and Rescue have brought a grassfire under control that was threatening property at Kameruka, south of Bega.

RFS spokesman Marty Webster said 24 people plus 11 appliances from the RFS responded to the fire which broke out just before 2pm, as well as resources from NSW Fire and Rescue.

He says it was "a great save given the conditions".
