Far South Coast police are searching for a 50-year-old man who they believe has injuries relating to an incident which has left a 28-year-old man in a Sydney hospital with serious injuries.

It's alleged the man, Shane Russell Smith, drove a Landcruiser over the 28-year-old, who was on a motorbike, and a 24-year-old man, who was on a quad bike, on a property at Pericoe on Saturday. The 24-year-old man and 28-year-old man are brothers.

It's alleged the man rolled the Landcruiser during the incident, and fled into the bush.

Residents in the remote locality in the southern part of the Bega Valley Shire say they are concerned for their safety, however Detective Sergeant Justin Marks says police do not believe the man is a threat to the public. He says it's believed the man is injured, and there are concerns for his welfare, and he is wanted for questioning relation to the incident on Saturday.

Police have conducted an air and land search over the last few days, with help from the SES.
