Robyn Reynolds has made history by being the first woman captain of the Pambula Rural Fire Service brigade.

The Pambula Rural Fire Service brigade has elected a woman as its captain for the first time in its history.

Robyn Reynolds has been a member of the brigade for 21 years and has held many positions including treasurer, secretary and senior deputy captain - and is well known in the Bega Valley as a training officer - with the loving nickname of 'drill sergeant'.

The brigade - and all of us - congratulate Robyn on her achievement and for her service.

Meanwhile In May, Narooma elected it's first woman as captain, Sophie Taylor, who at 26 is also their youngest captain. Congratulations also to Sophie.
