A new Electric Vehicle fast-charging station is being opened at Batemans Bay today at the Visitor's Centre.

A Eurobodalla Council spokesman says "the charging station has been developed by the NRMA in partnership with Council, and follows the opening of a charging station at Berry in January.

Council says the NRMA plans to install 40 electric-vehicle fast-charging stations across NSW and the ACT, with 15 already installed.

It says an increase in the number of charging stations in NSW will reduce ‘range anxiety’ – the fear of running out of power – and encourage more drivers of electric vehicles to the region.
