Man charged with assaulting children in Shoalhaven


A man has been charged with allegedly assaulting three girls and a boy in the Shoalhaven.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad started an investigation after a three-year-old boy was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital with injuries last Wednesday.

Police will allege the man also assaulted a 10-year-old girl and two seven-year-old girls, who are also known to him.

Around 9.30pm yesterday, the 30-year-old was arrested at a property in the Shoalhaven region and taken to Nowra Police Station where he was charged with:

Cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent (x2), common assault (x3), assault occasioning actual bodily harm (x2), and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.

The man was refused bail to appear at Nowra Local Court today.
