Police have arrested a man during a search in bushland north of Batemans Bay, following a pursuit in the Shoalhaven area.
About 11:10am on Tuesday (October 26) officers attached to South Coast Police District were conducting patrols on the Princes Highway, in Berry, when they engaged in a pursuit of a white Holden Commodore after it allegedly failed to stop for police.
The car continued south on the highway, with officers deploying road spikes just north of Tomboye Road, in East Lynne.
The vehicle came to a stop soon after; before the driver allegedly fled on foot.
Police Helicopters and the Dog Squad were called into help with the search, with a man located several hundred metres from the vehicle, in scrub west of the Princes Highway, just after 2pm on Tuesday.
The man was taken to Batemans Bay Police Station, and charged.
