The Princes Highway reopened at Broadwater between South Pambula and Eden at 12:20pm today (Tuesday October 19).
The highway was closed in both directions for about 3 hours with traffic diverted around the accident site along Nethercote Road.
About 8.45am today, emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, Broadwater, near Haycock Road, following reports of collision between 3 cars.
A Hyundai Sedan was travelling north and another Hyundai hatch was travelling south when the cars collided, before the vehicle travelling north continued travelling before hitting a Ford Focus also travelling south.
The Hyundai driver travelling north, a 28 year-old woman from Merimbula, suffered a fractured right leg and was taken to South East Regional Hospital (Bega) in a stable condition.
The Hyundai driver travelling south, a 63-year-old woman from Merimbula was airlifted to Canberra in a stable condition.
The Ford Focus driver, a 40 year old female from Tura Beach was not injured.
Inquiries into the cause of the crash are underway.
The diversion via Nethercote road has been lifted however where the highway has reopened at the crash site, there is a reduced speed limit in place.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed, follow signs and take care.
