It was a donut day again yesterday for the Far South Coast with no locally acquired cases of COVID-19 reported.

NSW Health says  more than 2,300 tests have been conducted in the region since two positive cases from Victoria, linked to the Sydney outbreak, visited Bermagui and Eden last week.

Director of the Local Health District’s Public Health Unit, Tracey Oakman says authorities are thankful for the high testing numbers and the cooperation of close and casual contacts in our region.

Meanwhile NSW Health has put out a new alert for the South Coast.

  • Anyone who visited the Taj Indian Restaurant at Huskisson, between 4.45pm and 5.20pm on Sunday the 27th of December, is asked to get tested immediately and self isolate.
  • This is also the case for anyone who visited the Nostalgia Factor Shop at Kangaroo Valley between 11.20am and 11.30am on Sunday the 27th of December.

It's estimated up to eight-thousand people - including any Far South Coast residents - who attended day two of the Boxing Day test at the M-C-G will also need to be tested for COVID -19.
