Bega Valley Shire residents have three weeks to comment on the revised budget and fees and charges.
Council's revised strategic planning documents for 2020-21, including the draft revised delivery program 2017-2021; the draft operational plan 2020-2021, including council’s budget and Revenue policy; and the draft fees and charges for 2020-2021 have been placed on public exhibition for a second time.
These documents needed to be revised as a result of the decision by councillors not to pursue a special rate variation to fund the shire’s pools, following the bushfire crisis.
Councillors recently resolved to place the updated documents on public exhibition for 28 days.
The documents are part of the integrated planning and reporting framework and were previously the subject of an extended exhibition period over December and January.
To view the documents head to www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au/haveyoursay.
Copies will also be available in the Bega office and shire libraries when these facilities re-open.
Submissions regarding the draft documents can be made until Thursday, 18 June 2020, via council’s Have Your Say page (see link above), via email at [email protected], or by post to PO Box 492, Bega NSW 2550.
