Drought also emptying dams

The drought is impacting NSW farmers but also it's impacting the supply of drinking water.

Reports from Power FM's sister station 'Wave FM' has said, the Illawarra's main feeder dam - The AVON - is down to 64-percent capacity, compared to almost 79-percent at the beginning of the year, CORDEAUX less than 42-percent ( 69.4% in Jan ) and CATARACT 38-percent ( 69% in Jan ).

The Water level at Brogo Dam on the South Coast is also falling. Though compared to the Illawarra the capacity is higher. It's currently sitting at 85% capacity.

Will water restrictions in NSW be put in place soon?
