Two road fatalities in South East on Sunday

A man and a teenage boy have died after two separate car crashes in the South East on Sunday morning (July 14).

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Woodstock, 10km west of Ulladulla, about 6.45am on Sunday.

South Coast Police District found a vehicle had struck a power pole with early enquiries revealing the vehicle was reported stolen from an address in Sussex Inlet earlier the morning.

The driver – a teenage boy – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics but was unable to be revived.

A male teenage passenger was also treated at the scene paramedics before being airlifted to Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick in a critical condition.

Police have been told two passengers left the scene on foot before their arrival. A search is being coordinated for the missing passengers of the vehicle.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Meantime, Monaro Police officers were called to Coolringdon, 17km west of Cooma around 9:30am on Sunday when they found a ute had left the road and rolled.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was located deceased. While he is yet to be formally identified, he is believed to be a man aged in his 40s.

Police have received no other reports of injury.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
